
Jane Alpers
With 20 years' worth of management experience in strategic marketing and health care strategy, Jane Alpers helps clients drive their business forward through a combination of expansive thinking, seasoned judgment and practical know-how.
Before joining Denneen & Company, Jane served as vice president of strategy and business planning at Tufts Health Plan (Waltham, Mass.), a nationally recognized HMO. A member of the senior management team, Jane regularly drove strategic development activities with the board of directors and led myriad internal growth initiatives, including expansion throughout New England.
Previously, Jane was a brand marketing manager at General Mills in Minneapolis, where she launched highly popular children's fruit snacks such as Shark Bites and Fruit by the Foot, improved the profitability of Betty Crocker desserts, and developed some of the Cheerios brand's most successful promotions.
As senior vice president of Denneen & Company, Jane brings her varied experience, blue-chip training and management seasoning to bear for clients of all types, from Fortune 10 oil companies to privately-held packaged goods makers to start-up biotech firms to academic institutions. Clients value Jane's work for the practicality, clarity and skill of the content, as well as for the effectiveness of the process.
Jane holds an M.B.A. in general management form Stanford Business School and a B.A. magna cum laude in biomedical ethics from Brown University. She is a 1998 graduate of the Lead Boston program of the National Conference for Community and Justice. She also provides management advice pro bono to senior leaders of City Year Boston, and serves on the marketing committee of a cultural awareness-building community organization called Young Audiences.
