Mark Denneen
Mark Denneen founded Denneen & Company in 1993 to develop a consulting firm that would be highly collaborative in process and skilled in the development of brand management and marketing competencies and over-all business strategies.
As president and CEO of Denneen & Company and a practicing consultant, Mark plays a hands-on role in designing complex projects that drive critical short- and long-term growth strategies, coaches client teams on organizational and management issues, and assists in the internal alignment of client organizations with strategic initiatives. He has worked extensively with a range of clients across multiple industries: oil, gas and petrochemicals; consumer packaged goods; financial services; manufacturing; health care; retail service industries; and higher education. His consulting work is regarded for the contribution it makes both to the performance of the business and to the people within that organization.
Before establishing Denneen & Company, Mark served as the chief operating officer of IST Inc., a New Jersey-based direct marketing and contract manufacturing firm serving the Fortune 500, where he managed a 200-person organization. Previously, he acquired competencies in strategic positioning, consumer packaged goods marketing, and organizational leadership as a product manager in the Health Care Division of Procter & Gamble (Cincinnati) and as an account director at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising (New York), where he managed the Johnson & Johnson and McNeil Consumer Products accounts.
Mark received his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and his A.B. from Harvard College, and is an alumnus of Milton Academy. He has lectured before the American Management Association, the American Marketing Association, Harvard University, New York University, Boston University and Lesley University. He serves as a governor of The Handel & Haydn Society (Boston). Mr. Denneen has also conducted pro bono work for organizations such as the Caring for Children Foundation, the People With AIDS Coalition of New York, Department of Public Schools in Quincy, Mass., and the WellChild Foundation.
